Breaking News - First Flight of the O&N Aircraft Turbine 340 |
Experienced Professionals |
O & N Aircraft Modifications, Inc. was formed by Myron Olson and Richard Newell in 1986. At that time both Olson and Newell were already accomplished veterans of the aircraft modifications business, a highly specialized area of the aircraft industry, where previously manufactured airplanes are upgraded or changed by supplemental type certificate.
Aware of the demand for certain products by small aircraft pilots, Olson and Newell began their venture with the design of auxiliary fuel tanks for Cessna aircraft. Since its inception, the company has received over 25 FAA approvals for its products, with new research and development in progress
In its 21 years at Seamans Airport in Factoryville, Pennsylvania, the company has continued to grow, operating an FAA Certified Repair Station, full service Avionics Shop, and engaging in the manufacture of FAA approved products. In 1997 we added an aircraft upholstery shop. In 2001 the company became a Cessna Single Engine Service Center.
In 2004, Richard Newell retired from the company, relocating to Tennessee with his family. Richard's former responsibilities were shifted to the mechanics and support personnel who had worked with him for many years. Although he intended to remain with O&N in a consulting capacity, he was stricken by serious illness and, regretfully, passed away on January 17, 2005.
Since that time, the company has been reorganized under the direction of Myron Olson, now the sole owner of O&N Aircraft.
Now in our 21ST YEAR of operation, we pride ourselves on continuing to offer you - the aircraft owner - the same high quality and personalized attention that you have come to expect from us.
Diverse Product Line |
Although many people think of O&N Aircraft as "Cessna 210 specialists" in the light aircraft industry, we have in fact developed a broad and diverse product line, responding to the needs of the small aircraft owner. Whether we manufacture a product for safety (such as our low fuel warning indicator), or practicality (like our Mooney bladder replacement system), or convenience (adding auxiliary fuel to various aircraft), we have sought to identify a particular need and fill it.
Home of the Silver Eagle |
In 1989, O & N began its most ambitious project, with the installation of a Rolls-Royce (formerly Allison) Gas Turbine 250-B17F/2 engine on the Cessna Pressurized 210 airframe. From its first flight in 1989, until its final FAA certification in 1992, the aircraft was subjected to rigorous testing, demonstrating the performance capability and sturdy reliability that was sought. Since 1993, the Silver Eagle has been featured in many major aviation publications, including AOPA Pilot, Private Pilot, Flying, Plane and Pilot, Cessna Owners, General Aviation News, the Pacific Flyer, and most recently, the Pilot Journal. In November 2006, our company was spotlighted as the featured advertiser in Cessna Pilots Association magazine.

Today, over 90 Silver Eagles have been delivered world-wide with several more conversions currently in production!!
